The Road Not Taken

There are many things in the world that a man would wish he had the chance to rewind and do it again, either the same way or in some other. Every human being may have this, but in statistic, a man has the higher probability of making mistakes more then a female, so, I think you get the idea. When given a choice, the dilemma that arises is carefully considered by only a minority. The majority on the other hand just consider which can bring more fun for that moment alone. There might be many things a man might wish, to still hold his ex's hands, to go back to the perfect drinking session, to the best friends season, the best tourney ever played and many other moments as such.

All I'm trying to say is that we men always wanna go go back and get something from the past cause the present sucks. Well, why not make it better than? Why give up if you can't have a proper tolerating gf? Why stop if you can't have a perfect place with the perfect people for a perfect drinking session? Why not play your heart out in a tourney to make a difference? Why do we always have to think about the past, when we can make ourselves a better present, or even a better future? Why do we stop, give up, and just look for something new? Why can't we just do the same thing, make it more exciting? There is sure to be criticism, but who cares? Fuck that asshole then, let's just find some one else. We are guys, and we have more fun when we make more mistakes, statistically shown.

Twisted tale: Here come's the twist.

As we left off, Jake was trying to find himself a way to woo the girl of his dreams, a possible way to not screw things up this time and make himself "The Big Man". He tries plotting out his ways, but he runs out of ideas as soon as he thinks of one. He knows almost everything about her, her dressing ways, her class schedule, her after-school hours at cheer practice, even her favorite food and her not-so-favorite people. Jake has himself a list of things that he could get her, and a longer list of what he shouldn't. This guy is a freak when it comes to Selina Lupe, I hope I made you get that down. Amongst his plans were a dinner date at Mystique's, a spontaneous lunch at The Grill, even a self-cooked meal at home with candle lights. This dude was massive in planning out his date, sort of like a mathematical equation. Only problem was, this is his first equation, and with the hottest chick down there. How was he gonna ask her? What was he gonna say to her while their date? Is he gonna choke? Are things gonna go well? What if she leaves in the middle of the date? Will he get his three second French on the first date, or just a kiss at the cheeks? These were the questions amongst many others that he had a problem dealing with.

And now, I introduce to you Stephen Wyatt, a UCLA star quarterback that just transfered to MIT for his Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Stephen joins in the second year as he completed his first year back at UCLA. He transfered to Massachusetts cause his dad got a job transfer down at the police department nearby. His dad, a strict man indeed, but loving nonetheless. His mom on the other hand, never strict, just a lil extra-overprotective. Stephen loves his parents so much, the same reason why he didn't disagree to the shift. He was the basic UCLA jock, but he was also the popular guy, and he had his own swag. He didn't mess around with anyone, in fact, he was sort of a nerd himself. He had his times with girls, and there was one that he really loved, until he found out that she was sleeping with three of his friends and God-knows how many more. He was looking out to make a fresh start here at Massachusetts, but he's a lil afraid of how they were gonna treat him here. And so, with his insecurities over at MIT, he befriends the next guy he sat with for lunch. Well, what a coincidence, it's Jake, and boy, is Jake happy or what.

Jake is in a blast, as he now has a chance at Selina with help of course from Stephen. Jake is on his way of using Stephen to get the girl, he's willing to do anything to get Selina. So he asks for some tips.

"Hey Stephen, I need some help with something." said Jake

"Yea, ssup?" said Stephen

" It's nothing big, but I wonder if you could assist me in getting to know the opposite sex."

"*laughs* Why man? You're doing good the way you are. Besides, who's the lucky chick?"

"I think I'm the lucky one in this case, it's Selina Lupe, the head cheerleader."

"Ain't all the dudes after her? You too huh?"

"Yea, i sorta got a thing for her, you know."

"Yea don't you all. Look man, I'm ready to help. Basically you gotta just be yourself with a lil extra something."

"Like nachos with extra cheese dip?"

"Yea, I think. Anyways, just go about normal with her and show her that you have somethin special in you. Do something a lil off the top."

"Like what Steph? I got no idea?"

"Tell you what, why don't you sing for her down at The Grill, it's an open mic night this Saturday."

"Yea, why not? Thanks for your idea man."

"No prob dude, just keep it simple and no rap, chicks hate rap."

"Yea yea, okay." Jakes nods.

Thus, came the idea of singing at The Grill on Open Mic night this Saturday. Jake is not much of a music fan, but he listen's to a certain type of music, pop songs, by Britney Spears (I mean the old Britney Spears) N'sync and even The Backstreet Boys. He got himself the instrumentals for a so-called heart warming song called, 'It's tearing up my heart' by N'sync. There were two more days to go till it was Saturday, and Jake was hiding inside his dorm practicing his heart out. Stephen on the other hand had himself in a twist. Stephen was on his way to class, up the stairs, until this girl, out of nowhere, is about to fall. Stephen reaches out both his hands, catches her but ends up falling with her, cushioning her fall.

"Are you alright?" Stephen asked

"Yea yea, I'm fine, and you?" told the girl

"Yea. I'm okay. Just a few bumps, that's all."

Stephen looked up and finally saw the girl, and was she beautiful or what. Her hair just glancing through as she turned to look at him. The smell of her perfume, mesmerizing his every thought of getting to class. Her smile, just a killer to those with a vulnerable heart. She on the other hand, falling for his bad boy looks, his cute smile, his rugged jeans and t-shirt and the way he actually talked to her instead of choking. No one was around as it was time for class, and then when the bell rang, the finally got out of their dream world and realized that they were late for class.

"Errmm, I'm so sorry, but I gotta go. See you around." she said and ran off.

"Wait wait, tell me your name at least. Hey!!" Stephen shouted.

Stephen was left unanswered, but we all know who the girl was, none other than Selina herself. Now, what was about to happen to Selina and Stephen, moreover, what was about to happen to Jake and Selina, even Jake and Stephen? Too many relationship are involved, but no concern given to her boyfriend Tyler. What was going on with them? What's going to happen on open mic night? Keep reading to find out..

Twisted tale

Let me tell you all, the twisted tale of lil ol' Jake. Madly in love he was with this wonderful cheerleader, who totally thought of Jake as an invisible being. Never knew he existed, and so he wanted to make his existence a significant one. To make his debut, he made a choice of risking his dignity and performing on stage, in front of a live audience. Furthermore, ol' Jake wanted to dedicate this song (as in say it out loud) to her, beautiful Miss Selina. He had approximately a month to make up all he could, and cook up every nook of courage that he had.

Now, Jake Monroe wasn't the type to fall in love, he wasn't the type who socializes in fact. He's a kid who just stays out of everyone's way, just minding his own business and handling his own bully problems. If you're wondering, yes, he does get bullied a lot. He doesn't tell anyone of his problems though, he just expects them to blow away. He doesn't live up to anyone's expectations, as he doesn't have parents to look up to for advice or nurturing. He grew up on his own at a foster home, and now studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). To put it short, yes, he's a NERD!

Miss Selina Lupe on the other hand, was the total opposite. Prom Queen for 2 years straight, educationally wise and a smoking hot Latina! She was the bomb of the school, but she wasn't the arrogant type. She just moved about, making her own steps, and wishing everyone to be happy. A babe that always took control of herself, preventing influence to take over her. She didn't even want the Head Cheerleader spot cause she didn't want any extra respect from anyone. She just wanted to get her degree and bust outta MIT as soon as she could. And now, the bad news. She has a boyfriend.

Yes, let me introduce to you, Tyler McKinley, star Quarterback of MIT and one heck of a bully. Daily routine - Throwing kids into the dumpsters, nuclear wedgies, Flush-water faceplants and the best of all, The Mega Nuggies!! Yes, all of them were designed by Tyler himself, to cause pain and fear in all of these kids hearts. These kids didn't know what to expect, all they knew were it was gonna be painful, emotionally traumatic and it's gonna leave a huge scar in their hearts and butt cracks. Tyler McKinley was the guy who called the shots, and he made himself look like he had a halo up his head, when he made a move for Selina. She fell for his tricks without knowing who he really is. Tyler McKinley is the guy with two horns over his skull, a long tail shooting right outta his ass crack. Tyler McKinley, the boyfriend.

The twisted tale begins as such. One fine day, after having himself a major faceplant at the men's room, Jake walked out with shame of course, straight to his dorm with a wet t-shirt. While getting there, he had to go through the field. There she was, throwing out her pom-poms, jumping up and down with joy, having her version of fun. Jake totally fell for her that evening, and wanted to spend every moment with her. He even had his own miniature imaginary duet with her; he and his nerdy glasses holding hands, both dressed up like they were about to get married. All he knew was that he couldn't have her and he didn't even wanna take a chance, especially when it meant going against the star QB, Tyler.

Days went on and Jake started to fall for Selina more and more, day by day; watching her at her practice, staring at her at the cafeteria, even memorizing her class schedule. Selina had this habit of helping out others a lot, and so she volunteered as a tutor for mathematics; for those who can't really cope up. Jake, taking advantage of the situation, picks up her number from her pamphlet at the library, and calls her up to have himself taking up a few lessons. FYI, Jake is GOD when it came to numbers!

"Hello, errr..." says Jake

"Yea? Who is this? " says Selina

"Errmm, this is Jake Monroe from 2nd year Engineering?"

"Owh, you wanna take up those lessons? "

"Yea yea, I actually called for that exact reason"

"Owh, okay. Well, it's my first time actually, so..."

"Owh really, it's my first time too.."

"*laughs* Really? Well, thats nice to hear. So when would you be free?"

"Anytime for you Selina.."

"Excuse me??"

"Owh, I meant anytime of yours is good with me."

"Okay then, at 5 pm at the study hall?"

"Owh, sure. I'm down with that."

"Yea....ok, see ya then. Bye. "

"Bye."

Jake gasped for breath, he couldn't believe he just talked to the hotest babe in the whole campus. Boy, was he happy! He was gonna make his first impression count for sure. And so, he planned everything out. Let's just see if his plans come to work.

It was 4.50 pm and he was waiting in the library for the past half hour, and he didn't mind waiting longer. She arrived at 5 pm, and said,

"Hey, you must be Jake."

"Yo, wassup babe?"

"Errr.. Okay, shall we start?"

"For sure my little senorita.."

"Okay. Can we do this with a lil less hip-hop involved? I'm kinda not-in-the-mood for all this.."

"Erm, I'm really sorry. I thought you were really into all this."

"Actually, I kinda preferred the nerdy kid that called me just now. *laughs*"

"*smiles*You do huh? Well, I'm plenty good at that."

"Great, then can we start?"

"Yeah sure.."

And so they started studying, with Jake playing a lil dumb. He didn't want Selina to catch on to his little act. But then,

"You're kinda good at this aren't you?" said Selina

"Yea, I think." said Jake

"I kinda think you are, and I think you just faked this tutoring lesson just to get to know me."

"I so did not! *fake laugh*"

"You're lying, and I think what you did was pretty sweet."

"You really think so?"

"Yea I do. The fact is my boyfriend has been kind of a jerk to me lately."

"Owh really, but why? What did he do?"

"Well, he just acts differently nowadays, like he just doesn't care."

"But why all of a sudden? Is there something....."

Selina's phone rings,

"Hey Tyler." She answered the phone.

Jake had his heart just split in half, but he knew he could make a move to this girl, and all he needed to do was take advantage of her sadness.

"Yea baby, I'll be right up, bye." Selina puts down the phone.

"I'm really sorry Jake, but I gotta go. My boyfriend just called me out for dinner."

"Err okay then, do have fun yea."

"Hopefully, and nice to meet you Jake."

"Nice to meet you too Selina, a pleasure."

"Bubye Jake." And she waves, walks away.

Jake now had a plan, a set out plan to win the girl's heart. He doesn't know exactly how, when or where, but all that he knows is that he's got himself a chance like no other, and he's gotta do it. How will he do it? You gotta wait to find out...

A retard

The reason I'm writing this blog after so long is cause I was just feeling a lil emo. A lot of things are going through my mind, some bullshit and some really plain old crap. I gotta settle things down, and get things in control before I lose anyone I love and trust. For the past few days, I've been tired and always blamed, even laughed at, wherever I go. The sad part is, I'm being laughed at for the lamest of reasons, which I could've made a change by myself.

No one knows how hard it is to be a retard, especially one that's drop-dead in love and balancing up a whole life story ahead of him. A retard that has crazy-ass friends, and even crazier brothers down at the hood, but still trying to make it out with a full grasp of sanity. A retard that walks away with just a smile after going through all that insult and mockery, after being treated like trash. A retard that gets nothing at all, after giving everything he had.

What I'm doing now, is telling all of you, the story of a true retard. A man who never stood up for anything in his life, and will always bow down in forgiveness, even if he had nothing to do with it. The story of a true retard, that has no what-so-ever say in the universe and is always no one important. The story of a humble retard, that never sheds a fake tear, and only sheds true ones to those he cares and loves from the bottom of his heart.

This retard is often clueless, and mostly just an idiot. He tries to make people laugh, not to be popular, or not to earn rep of any sort. He's just a clown, that does it to laugh with, not at. He's a man with a 10-year old brain trapped within, always mischievous. He's proud to say that he never threw a punch, but he wish that he did, to many that ruined his life before. But he's still thankful to those people, because if not for them, he wouldn't be here. He's also thankful to them because he's just a retard.

In conclusion, what I'm about to say may surprise you. I am that retard.
